Summer Vegetable CSA
Chloe Diegel is a recent addition to the Vergennes
community. She comes to Boundbrook Farm with four
years of vegetable growing experience at Cure Organic
Farm, a CSA in Boulder, Colorado. She moved to
Vermont to work with the Andrus Family learning about
draft horse power, grain farming and bread baking. Here
on Boundbrook Farm, she saw an opportunity for a small
vegetable operation and would like to invite you to join her
for this inaugural season!
This year we will be growing over 40 varieties of
vegetables, six different herbs and a handful of
flowers. Here’s a list of the crops we will be
growing on the farm this season:
Each week our goal will be to provide you with a
variety of in-season vegetables for that time of year.
A typical share, at a cost of $15 per week, might look
like this in the middle of the summer:
Along with the vegetables in your share you get a connection
to your local food source. As a member you are aiding in the
survival of local agriculture and are a direct part of the success
of the farm. Your membership helps pay for seeds, equipment
and of course labor.
Thank you for your interest!
The cost of our vegetable CSA is $15 per week for 18 weeks, at a total cost of $270 per share.
This share will feed 2-3 people depending on your family.
Every Tuesday, June 17th through October 14th, your share will be available for pick up at Boundbrook Farm,
276 Burroughs Farm Road, Vergennes, from 4-7pm.
For more information or to sign up, please call Chloe at 720-938-8477, or email her at cdiegel@gmail.com.
As a member of a Community Supported
Agriculture (CSA) program, you are joining in
the responsibility for the production of your
food. As a member you share in the risk and the
bounty of the farm.
By signing up and paying in advance for your
vegetables, you are supporting the farmer right
when they need it—early in the growing season
when the farm has little income. Your return is
fresh produce each week and the knowledge of
where your food is coming from.
